TCP is a cold chain logistics service company dedicated to the storage, delivery and tracking of temperature sensitive pharmaceutical products (80C to -300C). Principally the company operates to manage and reduce risk for key temperature sensitive ‘speciality’ products within the Health Service in Ireland.
The company currently provides a full supply chain management service for clotting factor concentrates (CFC’s) for home delivery to haemophilia patients on behalf of The National Centre for Hereditary and Coagulation Disorders in St James’s Hospital, Dublin. The service is very patient focused with safety a key element within it.
TCP has also successfully project managed the IT track and trace system developed with St James’s Hospital, using GS1 bar codes, to manage the CFC supply chain and provide an accurate and efficient product recall. This system is now recognised as a global first for pharmaceutical track and trace from manufacturer to the patient.
In addition the company operates a fully regulated and traceable home waste management service for patient’s sharps bins. The service currently caters for over two thousand home patients.
TCP prides itself in the attention to detail that the company can bring to the provision of logistical solutions to potential problematic areas within the health service.
