Imotech Medical specialises in providing smart solutions to healthcare providers through a number of strategic partnerships with world class manufacturers including Fujinon, WISAP, Insightec and many others. Its main areas of specialism is as follows:

Flexible video endoscopy systems

This is Imotech Medical’s core business activity. Under its previous name of Endoscopy UK Limited sales and service of Fujinon video endoscopy equipment in the UK was launched and developed. Imotech Medical can package the full range of video endoscopes, imaging equipment, storage and sterilization equipment and provide project management for the equipping of endoscopy theatres through its team of highly experienced sales, clinical support and technical staff. Imotech Medical is also able to supply a full range of endoscopic consumable products.

Imotech Medical has developed, and now manufactures, the endoscopic magnetic imaging device which helps to enable the safer use of colonoscopes and enteroscopes.

Theatre equipment, rigid endoscopy products and imaging equipment

A growing part of Imotech Medical’s portfolio is the theatre equipment and rigid endoscope range. The range is built around the famous WISAP range of products which was developed with the guidance of Professor Kurt Semm a pioneer of minimally invasive surgery and the use of CO2 insufflation. Professor Semm’s widow was, until recently, president of the WISAP company.

Imotech Medical is working closely with Maquet in order to integrate WISAP and Fujinon equipment into the Maquet telemedicine system.

MR guided Focused Ultrasound

Imotech Medical now has a partnership with Insightec Limited to promote the Exablate system in the UK and Ireland. The Exablate system is currently approved for the ablation of uterine fibroids and provides a completely non-invasive alternative to the removal of the fibroid by surgery. It is currently also approved for pain palliation of bone metastases. Other applications are currently undergoing trials including prostate cancer and breast cancer. Liver and brain applications are in development.

Managed Services

Imotech Medical is a leader in the provision of innovative finance solutions. Managed services enable off balance sheet equipment sourcing and these are now operating in a number of UK hospitals.
